Cypriot Villages

A few weekends ago, I went to Platres and Omodos, two small villages at the Troodos Mountains. When I was a kid, I used to spend my whole summer holidays at Platres; the first picture is the view from my parent's house. You can see all the way to the sea side on the south side of the island.
Omodos is a famous village known for its wine-making, its "arkatena" rusks and its laces -the celebrated "pipiles" (or Narrow-Knit Laces). You can learn more about the laces here.

Hardline feminists

If you believe hardline feminists, the sort of people who have Amazonian lady-gardens and wear dungarees made from hemp, then all men are intrinsically rapists and the only reason we don’t actually molest every single girl we see is because we’re all at home beating up our wives.

Easter in Cyprus

During Easter, on Good Friday, it is a custom in Cyprus to visit an odd number of Churches (we did 7) and pray at the "Christ's grave". The first two pictures show the decorations that go around the picture of Christ and each Church compits for the best flower decoration. The last one is of 1 of the 7 churches.
